The costs of an overseas move depend, among other things, on the volume in cubic meters. Container or lift van?
The transport of your moving goods can be carried out using a closed sea container or lift van (overseas crate):
Moving overseas with a container
Relocation transport to and from overseas is usually carried out in closed sea containers. Once you book a 20` container, this is exclusively your “own” container, which will be sealed at your doorstep and reopened at your destination. When properly stowed, this offers a high level of security for your valuable moving goods.
For small moving volumes: overseas moves with a lift van
The Liftvan is a large seawater-proof box made of treated wood with a capacity of 5 cubic meters. If the moving volume is between 5 and 10 cubic meters, 2 lift vans are used. EOS Move Management only uses “US Standard Liftvans” with dimensions L approx. 2.20 x W 1.20 x H 2.24 m. In principle, every shipment dimension can be transported in containers of different sizes.
Air freight shipments of small or personal items are, on average, particularly attractive in terms of price up to a volume of 2 cubic meters. We have special air freight Kayboxes and, due to our proximity to Frankfurt Airport, we personally deliver your moving goods to the cargo area of the airport quickly and easily. The average transit time is between 10 to 14 days from door to door depending on the destination.
Packaging
The overseas packaging is carried out by overseas packing teams with many years of experience and training, who do nothing other than so-called export packaging every day. For particularly sensitive moving goods such as valuable pictures, fragile antique furniture or pianos, wooden boxes are made to measure in the carpentry workshop. Only proven packaging materials developed specifically for overseas transport are used.
Intermediate storage and storage
We offer you temporary storage during the moving process or storage for years in:
- Wooden storage container, 7.5 cubic meters each
- 20` The storage container, à 30 cbm
Loading can usually take place directly in front of your house.
Process and monitoring of your overseas move
The process of your move will be monitored by a personal move coordinator right from the start, so that many individual logistical steps fit together. We are able to determine where your container is at any time. We will go through the necessary customs documents with you, point out any special import requirements and establish contact with the overseas delivery agent for you right from the start. In many cases, approval must be awaited before the goods are shipped so that all required import conditions are 100% met.
In some countries we offer you the option of us simply picking up your container at the receiving port, taking it through customs and you unloading it completely yourself, which means you can save costs. We would be happy to discuss individual inquiries with you in detail.
We carry out overseas moves both from Germany to overseas (export) and from overseas to Germany (import). Thanks to our global network of qualified moving agents all over the world, we can carry out moving inspections quickly and flexibly, even overseas. We are also happy to undertake partial moves from German ports of entry to the respective destination in Germany.
